Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture, turning into an iconic pop star that is set to be around forever, and will conquer all of the world. Swift has shed her roots in the country as if they were second skins, and has proven herself to be one of one of the best pop singers and songwriters within her generation. Swift is able to harness the current zeitgeist and turn it into her own. These skills were evident on her earliest hits especially the Neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering who she was and in the process, finding a mass audience. Fearless went on to become a global hit, not only in North America (where it received with six platinum awards for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia and the U.K. and many other countries. Speak Now delivered almost two years later, which consolidated the success and moved Swift to the heights of fame. In the following three years, Swift's popularity grew through the years -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she entered a new realm of pop with her skills already well established. Even though she had slowed her work with folklore and Evermore releases in 2020 she was still at the forefront of pop music.
